  I stop drawing and go to sleep. I need some sleep, we got tests tomorrow. This sucks. I haven’t studied at all. Hope that doesn’t affect me because I really need this grade. I fall asleep in a few minutes.

  So, I get up and brush my teeth and do the routine over again. I go to school feeling good since I’m hanging with Luke and Landon. I look at the test and I have no idea what to do. Well bad grade number one. This day sucks.

  Chapter 6

  I go home feeling terrible about that grade. I go to Aaron’s house to train for the mission. We practice basic skills then the harder skills. I feel great about doing this, I’m feeling confident. But he still thinks I’m not ready.

  “Hey Aaron, can you tell me how long it will take for me to be done training?” I ask. “Nope, since I don’t know.” He answers. I sigh. Oh well, at least he’s honest, at least I think he is. We keep practicing till I’m done. I must be ready to battle the destroyers.

  I workout to get my muscles ready to withstand what the destroyers got. I feel like I am almost there, but yet so far away. I can’t give up though I must keep going. This is my destiny.

  I get so tired, so I guess I go home. Tomorrow might be a good day. I fall asleep sore and worn out, I dream about the demons but this time I don’t sit there while they laugh at me. I stand up and try to shoot them with the beams. It just goes through them. Now I know I am not ready to battle them just yet. I wake up in the morning, it’s a Tuesday.

  I get up do the morning stuff and head out to Luke and Landon. We talk about video games or doing stuff this afternoon till we get to school. We get inside the school and walk to class. “Today class, we will be doing a group project on building something out of toothpicks.” Miss. Smith says. So Luke, Landon, and I get together and we try to make a castle with a draw bridge. It turns out pretty good.

  We show it off to the class and Miss. Smith gives us an A+. So after school is out we started talking about what we are going to do today. “Hey Tyler, you want to hang out at our place?” asks Landon. “Sorry but I have chores to do.” I say to hide I’m really going to Aaron and Suzie’s house. They both sigh, and they go to their house.

  I run home, open the door, put my stuff down, and I teleport there. They greet me and we head to the training room. This time I feel like trying something new. “Hey Aaron, do you have anything else for me to try?” I ask. “Yes of course, how about the scythe or the bow?” He asks. “I’ll try both.” I answer. He shrugs and leaves the room. I concentrate on trying to do the scythe. First try, I get the scythe.

  Aaron says on a speaker I never saw before, “Good job, now the bow.” I concentrate really hard, but I don’t get it the first try. So, I try again and I get it. Oops, forgot the arrows. I concentrate and I make the arrows. I try the bow out on a robot, it starts up in flames then burns it down to the ground.

  Now the scythe, I pull it out and I try some tricks with it like spinning it on my fingers, it falls to the ground. I pick it up and with one swing I cut the robot in half. Aaron comes out, “Good job Tyler.” He says. “Thank you Aaron.” I say. We walk to his living room, we talk and drink tea for a little bit. What a good day.

  I go home and start reading for the test on Friday. It’s a really long test. A few minutes past and I am already asleep.

  I wake up very late. It is 12:00 and school started 4 hours ago. I guess I will stay here and study, and maybe later I will train with Aaron. I need to work out a little more. I eat and go up to my room and start studying.

  I study for a few hours and start getting ready to work out with Aaron. After I’m done with that I teleport there. For some reason they aren’t there. I look around but still couldn’t find them. I head outside of their house and I see them all the way in the town.

  I run down there as fast as I could to catch up with them. I don’t stop until finally I reach them. I keep breathing hard but manage to say “Why are you here?” Suzie answers with “Shopping for food.” She says with a smile. So I help them pick out some things.

  We pick out some fruit I know and some things I never heard of. But it sounded good so I put that in their basket. We shopped for awhile then we went back to their house.

  We ate some fruit and then I started working out. I get so sore that I feel like jelly. I get done and I teleport back home. I look at the time only a few hours to study. So I got going, and studied as much as I could. Man that wasn’t fun. But I did study enough to get half of the test done. I lay in my bed trying to go to sleep.

  But I kept thinking about how these demons I am seeing, fit into fighting the destroyers. But I stop and go to sleep anyway. This time I wake up on time and get everything done fast, I even had time to eat breakfast. I caught up with Luke, since Landon is home sick.

  We go to school, and the teacher gives us our test. I finish it fast and when we get it back I got an A+. Sweet! Best grade on a test yet! I almost jumped in my seat but I banged my knee on the desk.

  It was like a giant BANG! Man I think that will leave a bruise on my knee. I get up for the next class but I fell to the ground. It was very embarrassing. I get up feeling embarrassed the whole day. I finished the day, luckily. I go home and put my stuff down.

  I lay on my bed tired, but I still go to train with Aaron. Nothing new I can do so we do the basic stuff. It was not bad because when you learn something new you could forget the old stuff (I do that a lot, that’s how I know.) We train for a few hours, and then I go home.

  I eat, and go to my room to sleep. I wake up happy since it’s a Friday. I walk to school now with Luke and Landon since Landon is feeling better. We walk to school not talking this time since we can’t figure out what to talk about. We get there and we eat something really nasty. But, food is food.

  We get to class and as always, take a Friday test. I hope I ace that since I tried my hardest. She won’t grade it till Sunday since it’s a weekend. So, we get out and I run home and put my stuff down then I teleport to Aaron’s house.

  When I get there Aaron saw me. He comes up to me and puts his boney hand on my shoulder. He says, “Tyler, you are so close to getting ready to fight the destroyers.”
